Join us. Who or what inspires you? My father inspires me to be a great salesperson. I have experienced him selling to customers at his shop hence why I am as boisterous as I am over the phone and in person.
I have learnt to open up and be confident when selling. I love to socialise with friends and visit different football grounds. I also love to travel and try and get away five times a year. I would love to be a chairman of a football club and win a lot of trophies. But other then that, awesome experience and people.
Pros Working environment. Cons occasional unrealistic sales metrics. Yes No There are 2 unhelpful reviews 2. Would you recommend working at your company? Help people considering your employer make a good choice. Great company for those looking for a first job out of college. Pay is on the lower end but the experience is worth it. Would work there again if the pay was adequate. Groupon has really diversified their business after a rough IPO launch.
Tons of young employees, so you can understand why the operating profit was an issue for years until the recent management decided to find other avenues for revenue. Groupon has the ability to become a powerful force in customer acquisition, as well as fantastic consumer destination, but they are definitely focused on the numbers after a dismal start on the market.
With that said, the business is on the upswing. Pros Young managers who understand the capabilities of young hires. Cons Don't match K's. Great Company! Nothing bad to say about Groupon. Great for young adults fresh out of college that need direction. Feels like a frat house at times. Work life balance great. Lacks transparent career paths. Seeking a workplace will high energy and colleagues that are willing to learn off one another.
Overall looking forward to finding a company that is willing to invest in me and further my sales career. Good company, great people to work with, challenging in a good way, nice office. Good place to work because of great people. Great people make great companies.
Management always supportive, coaching, helps out on calls when needed. Pros Associates and managers are good people to work with. Always approachable, willing to listen, offering help, for the most part a large percentage are team players. Good medical, dental benefits. Cons Base pay is below average, no continual residual commission structure, a person has to put in more hours daily to reach goals, sometimes weekends to make quota, too many daily meetings with repetitive information, of which most of it could be emailed, most of the time meetings are conducted at times that interferes with "optimal" sales time.

But the pay is extremely low and sometime your just a number there. Have fun while it lasts. I would not plan on making this a long-term commitment, but it is a great place to learn for an entry-level position.

Employer C. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. Healthcare Services Group, Inc. Hub International, Inc. Lockton Companies, Inc. State Farm Insurance Company W. Grainger, Inc. It's probably better now I was working at Groupon when they were going through significant growth and pressure. It was a mess: leadership was disorganized and they strategized poorly. This instability created an erratic work experience. I can only imagine the company and market has "right-sized", recognizing a more realistic competitive strategy and a humbler view of themselves.
This sort of stability will, I'm sure, make the company a more attractive place to work. Outside of that, it was a typical inside sales job. Definitely a lot of pressure to preform, but it wasn't exactly boiler room. If you're interested in a career in sales but more likely are just coming out of college with few skill and are looking for a job , this is a fine place to start, and probably better than when I was there.
Groupon has a great environment in which to work. The sales positions are very hard to master and keep. Lots of turnover due to personal performance and company performance as well. Pros free beverages. Cons job security. Don't have great expectations out of this not so great company Account Manager Former Employee - Dubai - February 19, It's a nice place to work if you are a fresher or starting off with your career, for others I would say, they might get frustrated of the stagnancy.
In general, it is a fun place with very casual and chilled out atmosphere, but still, most of the people at higher positions are not quite satisfied with the way things work in the organisation or their growth rate. Pros Ping pong table, fully equipped pantry, free fruits and cookies, casual and chilled out atmosphere. Cons Extremely slow growth, no transparency, favoritism.
Lots of fun at workplace. Annual Offsite are awesome. Management is always approachable. But company could not convert into success due to frequent restructuring.
Lack of vision of the leaders of the company. It was really good and learning experience, phoning everyday. My partners where awesome. Boss Suck Fun Work Place, good installation, cheers sucks! We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best! It is a great company, however, the role can get a bit repetitive. I would recommend Groupon to anyone looking to learn.
They are very helpful and always want you to improve. Pros Company Culture. Cons Average progression.
